After flying to Halifax, Nova Scotia Lizzy and I rented a car and drove to Peggy's Cove. It is known for this well photographed lighthouse. |

We rode a tour bus to Lunnenburg and took a walking of tour of the town. This is where we started the tour. It is a very old school house and still holds classes. |

We boarded the Clipper Adventurer for a seven day cruise down the East coast. |

Our first stop was Campobello Island, New Brunswick. Here I am in front of the summer cottage of Franklin Delano Roosevelt. It is here that he enjoyed many summers with his parents and later in his life where he contracted polio. It was very beautiful place with a great view of the ocean. |

The next night we were enjoying dinner in the dining room of the ship and I saw this sunset. I had to take a picture and it turned out to be one of my best shots ever. |

The next morning we stopped at Camden, Maine. We took a tour bus up a mountain and got this view of the town. You can see the ship just past the island in the bay. We anchored there and rode zodiacs to the dock. |

In Camden there was a statue of Andre the Seal. He was famous for being a trained seal that the town loved. |

We had lunch here in Camden. It is right on the docks and they have a great fried fish sandwich. |

Here we are pulling into our berth in Boston. I got up early and watched us cruising in to the harbor. |

We took a land and water tour of Boston in a former militry vehicle called a "duck." It was a great tour and you really got to see a lot of the city. "Quack Quack!" |

Our next stop was Newport, Rhode Island. It is a very quaint fishing town where we spent the day shopping and visiting museums. |

This is a picture of the sail boats in the Newport harbor. There were hundreds of them from very tiny to huge. |

Next we cruised down the East River and got to see all of Manhattan. |

Here is the UN Building as we cruised past. Notice the Coast Guard boat keeping an eye on all traffic down the East River. |
